Associates Coral Brookes, Katie Elisa Fiore, Lizzy Rose and Anna Wachsmuth will be taking part in the second of the series of week-long residencies at LIMBO, Margate between 9th-15th July.
With the support of LIMBO curator Claire Orme, the associates will be using the space to develop their ongoing ideas and practices and undertake research. The residency will culminate in an open crit on Friday 13th July and an exhibition which will be open to the public during the weekend.
During the week, Coral will be developing her ideas around fictionality and functionality through modes of animation, writing and sculpture.
Lizzy will be thinking about accessibility to the arts for those facing physical barriers and she will be tackling her on-going investigation into how to carry on an art practice. She will also be expanding on work into identity and flower arrangement.
Anticipating The End, Friday 13th July will mark Trump’s state visit to the UK. Katie will be considering modes of protest and resistance through sound and The Dancefloor; the collective coming together of bodies. Maybe we can get together on the Dancefloor and shake off the spirits in Real-Time.
Anna is looking into ways shared memories are transported through imagery and forms of public representation.
