Melissa Burn lives & works in Leeds. Her work was included in Time, Place, Space Limbo Associate Members Show 2015 & was offered a solo exhibition by selector Adam Chodzko.

Burn's new installation for Limbo focuses on sculptural constructions which span the ominous & the decorative celebrate methods of their own production (binding, cutting, carving & balancing). At the same time aesthetic lures question functionality, asking where is the distinction between art object & artefact.

Melissa Burn will lead a workshop exploring sculptural practice using found materials & objects.

Materials provided but participants are welcome to bring their own

Burn will give a talk on her current practice & the work at Limbo followed by a closing reception. Venue to be confirmed!
